Do you know sometimes we just need to let good enough alone? I am speaking tomorrow at Lynda's funeral....my hair kind of needed a little touch up with "La Petite". Ok, I have done it before...so I do it...but then I take phone calls, do the dishes, dink around and an hour and fifteen minutes later, I check it out....not only did I not get it to the roots, but I got more on the bottom than at the ends...thus I have a calico cat effect...not particularly what I was hoping for.....do you think the 2 to 3 hundred people will notice tomorrow when I give my talk about Lynda? After 31 years of friendship this won't be the first time she has seen me mess my hair up. One time I went to a beauty school and had it done. It turned out a bright strawberry blonde. That night I met Lynda at the Coconino High School auditorium for a drama presentation. I got there first...it was a full house...I saved her a seat....and pretty soon there she was coming right down the isle. I asked her how she found me, and she said, "Not many people have that color of hair. It's like a beacon!"....we laughed...and I guess we can laugh about this one too......oh, well, now I will have to run the risk of loosing my position as Vice President of the CA Club...because I will have to pay GOOD money to fix this mistake!.....Life goes on!...in a crazy sort of way....I am glad Steve is going to drive me there tomorrow...because I am not with it!
Steve just got home.....if he notices, then I will know it is REALLY BAD, if he doesn't then I will know it is just bad....so we will see...either way it will have to be fixed...but that's OK.
