After the boys leave there is a distinct quiet that settles over the place.....and yes papa and nana kind of sigh...then life goes on. Yesterday we were out in the yard and I looked in the garden and there was the Tonka truck....all alone with the same load of dirt that the little boys left in it. There is just something right about little boys playing in the dirt, kindred souls with the soil. Ours never tire of it. When it is garden planting time, they will have to come down and help. Last year we let the garden lay fallow and heaped on the good manure.....come on now it is all decomposed into nice clean dirt ...and the little boys love it....they don't even smell like a barnyard when they play there....anyway I will need their help and I am looking forward to that day.
