Update on Lynda...

Today is Tuesday, February 5, 2008....Lynda was suppose to have her port-a-cath put in for her new chemo. Right now, I can't see that happening. She was put back into the hospital Saturday with a severe infection of the abdominal cavity lining - peritonditis. Today they are looking at options including hospice care. She is very weak. Her mind is sharp and she still wants to make all the decisions or at least be a very active participant. I think that is great. I still hold out hope for the best, but recognize what reality we are facing. I will stay here a few days and see what I can do to help. I am staying with Sara and Jess. Right now I am at their house watching the boys so Sara can take care of a business appointment and vote. I will visit with Dennis and see what we need to do. I know he is checking in to having a hospital bed brought to the house. Since it has been remodeling time....things are up in the air. I hope to help him make some order of whatever is left undone and get things to a comfortable operational level. I will go back up to the hospital when Sara returns and then go to the house and see where we stand. Please keep Lynda and her family in your prayers.
