What I do with my time.....

I have a lot of people ask me, "Now that you are retired what do you do with your time?".......You know I never seem to have enough time....I have a lot of interests and keep busy. One of the things I like to do is make baby blankets for new babies coming into this world. It gives me a lot of pleasure...some I make from scratch and some I just embellish with my embroidery machine....My favorite blankets to make are the double layered flannel with a crocheted edging. They are relaxing to make and they give me a good excuse to watch T.V. That way I am not wasting time...I am being productive! I use a Janome 300E to add the little one's name. I am always learning something new, but I am having a good time. These three blankets will be going out today....two of them are for girls I have known since they were tiny who have just become mothers....Sarah and Kelly. I will get them in the mail before the post office closes. One is for a baby shower today. Anyway....this is just one of the things I like to do.
Yes, I have a bed above my sewing area....My sewing area is located above the garage. I use it as my office/studio....but it is also a guest house....of course I clean up my messes before the guests get here! One can look out the half round window at night and see the moon and the stars....Steve calls it, "Star Ship Enterpise"!

p.s.

The blankets are precious. And I can picture you right now sitting down and crocheting the edges, and watching your hands work!
