This is our first Saturday to do the farmer's market in Camp Verde. It is a small, but a very delightful little market. So far we only have apricots. We also took some of Steve's plants that he has propagated...some bird feeders and little garden wheel borrows....it was fun to visit with the people and to share the fruit...our prices are not Santa Barbara's ...that is for sure, but the people love our apricots and we saw a lot of returning customers. Later in the season we will have plums, peaches, pears, and apples. When we are at Katie's we love going to the local farmer's markets...I am not sure all of the fruit is organically grown, though. Last summer we were at the farmer's market in Santa Barbara....beautiful produce...I am not kidding when I say there were peaches the size of slow pitch softballs....and they looked perfect....a man bought one and took a bite out of it and the juice ran down his arm and onto the pavement......I do not know what one does to get peaches that big...but they were amazing!
