What does this picture represent?

At first glance this picture is just an early morning shot (brave nana and crazy papa who hasn't learned discretion with the camera).....of nana reading a story to the boys....However it represents something much more than that. The night before Bodie was having a hard time going to sleep. He came and got into bed with me where I was reading. We were chatting and then all of a sudden heard noises outside....it sounded like someone was coming in through our gate...my first response to something like that is too feel anger, so I got out of bed, threw open the door and let Kona, the dog, out to wreck havoc on anyone or anything that might be in the yard......She started barking furiously and chasing around the yard.....I thought, "Well, whoever or whatever was there .... is gone now." I went back to bed to visit with Bodie. Then in just a few minutes we heard chomping, snorting kinds of noises......Bodie said, "What's that Nana?"....and I said, "Grab the flashlight". Kona proceeded us and we all went out...but I didn't see anything...but heard rustling and running in the back corner of the yard by the blackberries. I did see that the garden gate was open. I flashed my light around and shut the gate and then went back in the house. The next morning I went outside and with the light of day could see that half of my pumpkin vines had been eaten, half of my spaghetti squash had been up rooted and even some of the tomatoes had been nibbled. I called Bodie out to see....and we talked about it. He said, "I almost forgot that Nana".....and so we went back in and got out the book "The Three Little Javelinas" and read it....of course this was all before breakfast.....and now the boys know what a Javelina looks like....except I told them they don't wear clothes like in the story....and I bet they won't want to go outside at night by themselves....because of what they call, "The piggies!"........ But life is always an adventure at Nana's.....and of course the next stop was breakfast....as Brock called out his favorite dish, "Poncakes!".
