Passing on the skills....

One of my fondest memories was when my Grandma Williams use to make cinnamon rolls. I loved watching her hands roll the dough up with the cinnamon and sugar inside. Sometimes when I do it I can see her hands in mine. This weekend one of my cousins was going to make a big pot of beans to take to Ray's birthday pot-luck, so I said I would make rolls. I have been promising to teach my Jana-girl how to do it for a couple of years and so this weekend it all came together and we made them in Myrna's new kitchen.....that kitchen had looked perfect for too long...it was time to initiate it into the world of MESS!.....which is by the way the nickname my Uncle Ray gave me years ago, "Mess".....and for that same reason...I can take any kitchen and turn it upside down, but when I am done, there is something really good to eat......so it is worth it!!!! A floury mess can always be cleaned up! We had such a good time and Jana did a great job. Her batch turned out better than mine. I was very proud of her.
