Travel Log

Brock and I just got back from visiting Auntie (Katie) in California.....We had such a great time. He is an excellent traveling companion and very entertaining. I think we could all learn from this 2 year old. Life isn't about what you have, it is about what you do and how much you enjoy doing it. Brock is truly able to live in the moment. I wish I could find the excitement he has for the events that come up in any given day.....riding in the car and seeing cactus, buckling his own seat belt on the airplane, getting dressed by himself, running on the beach, waiting for the train, seeing the train come down the track, riding three buses in a row to get to the airport, riding the train, choosing his own snack at the gas station, finding a new pile of dirt to dig in, seeing the ocean on the horizon, the list could go on and on. All of these things are items of wonderment and celebration. ....I know I am older and life is routine...many experiences at this point are reruns....but they are still great and I need to appreciate them and enjoy them more. This boy is a great example.....be sure and watch the video...."Waiting For The Train".....it says it all. In the end the little guy had nothing more to give.

fun, fun, fun, FUN. I love the pictures and can't wait to see more. I don't know why it was so hard for me to let #2 go. It wasn't hard for him! I'm happy to have him back- thanks for taking such good care of him!!!
